When you get out of the elevator you walk along the edge of the Pyramid to your room and can look down into the whole casino. We also felt more connected being in the same building as the casino and restaurants. The room definitely felt like a downgrade compared to the tower, the bathroom was small with the tub/shower combo, but the view was cool, and the sloping window was a cool feature. The woman at the desk was super friendly and put us up on the tenth floor of the Pyramid facing the strip, and it was totally worth it. I went back to the desk and asked if there was any way to get a room in the Pyramid, even if it meant a room with two queens. The room was really nice inside, but I just felt like we were brushed off into the corner. The Tower was way in the back, with a horrible view and a really loud drone coming from outside the window, probably the AC units for the whole building. Kind of bummed about not getting to stay in the Pyramid, but excited after hearing the word "upgrade" we went and checked out the Tower room. I originally booked a single King Pyramid Room, but upon check-in was told that they didn't have any King rooms left in the Pyramid, but that instead they were upgrading me for free to the Tower.
